Selection Committee Final Recruitment Report
At the conclusion of the Search, the committee chair shall prepare a recruitment report. The chair should keep this report for at least two years and also submit the report to the Provost Office.
Please use this template report as a guideline:
As a result of a full national search conducted by the [provide department name] search committee, the [provide department name] of Kalamazoo College selects [provide name of employee] to fill a tenure-track position as the [insert position].
• Provide details regarding the recruitment activities that occurred during the search including dates the advertisements were published. Attach to the final report evidence of recruitment advertisements. The Provost Office will provide.
• Provide information regarding the overall application pool and number of applicants, the specific individuals who were interviewed, and the process involved in determining which applicant was most qualified and best fit for the position. Provide details regarding specifics of the interviews.
• Provide specific lawful job-related reason why the applicant is more qualified than the other applicants who applied for the position.
• Provide information regarding the selected applicant, including the educational credentials, professional qualifications, and/or academic achievements of the selected applicant.
