Kalamazoo College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics, beginning September 2026; depending on departmental needs, there is a possibility of renewal for a second year. We seek a generalist with a high aptitude for and interest in undergraduate teaching and a commitment to the liberal arts. The successful candidate will teach six courses over three terms, including a course in Roman art and archaeology, introductory and advanced Latin, as well as three other general courses in classical civilization from our catalogue (such as Classical Mythology or Greek civilization) or a course in their academic specialty. PhD preferred; advanced ABDs considered (at the rank of Instructor).
