The Kalamazoo College Economics and Business Department invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position with the possibility of a reappointment for a second year. The position begins in the Fall 2025. We are looking for candidates with teaching experience in principles and, especially, macroeconomics. Although the main teaching responsibility of the position is intermediate macroeconomics, the successful candidate is expected to add depth and breadth to the department’s courses offerings and participate in the senior thesis program.
The successful candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. in Economics and at least one year of experience teaching economics. The successful candidate must demonstrate a genuine desire to teach and participate fully in a liberal arts environment that emphasizes close student-faculty interactions. Kalamazoo College offers a two-course-per-term teaching load over three terms (six courses in total).
