Academic Advising

The Director of Advising, coordinates the team of faculty and administrators who serve as academic advisors. The advisors help students set educational goals, make appropriate choices to meet requirements, and realize their potential.

Arcus Center for Social Justice Leadership

The Arcus Center for Social Justice Leadership (ACSJL) is an initiative of Kalamazoo College whose mission is to develop and sustain leaders in human rights and social justice through education and capacity-building.

Center for Career and Professional Development

The Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) focuses on helping students identify, seek out, apply for, and secure career opportunities. About 74% of all “K” students complete at least one internship, many of them complete two.

Larry J. Bell ’80 Environmental Stewardship Center

The Center for Environmental Stewardship was officially started in 2019 with a generous grant from The Arthur Vining Davis Foundation. The Center will infuse sustainability and environmental themes across the curriculum; increase opportunities for students to conduct mentored research and community programming; and better utilize the Lillian Anderson Arboretum as a learning lab for the liberal arts.

Center for International Programs

The Center for International Programs (CIP) assists students in attending K-sponsored programs and additional approved programs run by other colleges. 85%of our graduates in the last 40 years have studied abroad.

The Class Deans serve as a “go to” person for students with a problem or a concern. Class Deans help students navigate the critical issues and events of a particular year and increase the sense of community within and between each class.

Office of Grants, Fellowships, and Research

The Office of Grants, Fellowships and Research assists faculty by providing information on external funding to support research, creative, curricular, community, and outreach endeavors. The office also helps students identify and apply for a variety of graduate scholarships and fellowships.

Office of Institutional Research

The Office of Institutional Research manages internal and external data reporting, works with campus partners on accuracy, consistency, and reporting standards, and supports planning and decision-making through research, analysis, and assessment projects.

Professional Development

The Provost is excited to share that funding is available for Professional Development for full time staff in academic departments who have not previously had access to funding. The Registrar manages the schedule of classes, academic calendars, exam week schedules, and student records.

Teaching, Learning and Assessment

The Assistant Provost of Teaching, Learning and Assessment works with the Teaching and Learning Committee and coordinates the Teaching Commons in support of pedagogy, curriculum development and the scholarship of teaching and learning. They work with the Assessment Committee, departments and programs on assessment, and course evaluation and Educational Quality Assessment.
