The Department of Economics and Business invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level in Economics beginning Fall 2023. We are looking for candidates with teaching experience in principles and, especially, macroeconomics. Although the main teaching responsibility of the position is intermediate macroeconomics, the successful candidate is expected to add depth and breadth of the Department’s course offerings and participate in the senior thesis program.
The successful candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. in Economics, at least one year of experience teaching economics, and an active scholarship agenda appropriate for a Liberal Arts institution. The successful candidate must demonstrate a genuine desire to teach and participate fully in a liberal arts environment that emphasizes close student-faculty interactions. Kalamazoo College offers a two-course-per-term teaching load over three terms (six courses in total).
